"Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
God loves us so much and gives us dreams and desires. When we take delight in him, he wants to fulfill them and give us so much more.
Here are some steps we can include when it comes to stepping into our purpose.
You have to understand who you are and that God has a plan for you. You are not in it alone to figure everything out and thank the Lord for that! "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me." Jeremiah 29:11-13.
You may not know the entire plan now, but pray and let the Holy Spirit guide you.
Jesus speaks in John 14:15-17..."If you love me, obey my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn't looking for him and doesn't recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you."
....and 26, " But when the Father send the Advocate as my representative- that is the Holy Spirit- he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you."
First give everything to the Lord. Pray and ask him what he has called you to do and listen, so he can make it clear for you. Ask for peace about it and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Move in faith and take it one step at a time. Make room to allow to Holy Spirit to guide you. That means you have to put God first in everything you do. "Seek first the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." Matthew 6:33.
Seek God, pray for what you want him to reveal to you, and thank God for the answer! Don't forget, faith is now. "....Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him." -Matthew 7:7-11
