This years trend is all about that glow! Skin that glows, is dewy; you know that barely there/ no- make-up look. But underneath that "no make-up" look, you want to make sure your skin is taken care of. Having good skin brings a lot into factor, such as; genes, what you eat, water intake, exercise, etc. But, the next time you see someone with nice skin, don't ask them what their "secret is", ask them what their skin care routine looks like.
I used the same line of skin care since i was 24, but now at 28, my skin is different. I decided to change up my skin care and do research for some more natural options that would slow down the aging process and make my skin beautiful and glowing. I do have a more extensive skincare routine, but i have worked up to that. I have a 5-7 step routine for morning and evening (including make-up removal etc). This may have seemed like too much for me 4 years ago but i look forward to this every day because I have chosen products that actually work and give me amazing results.
The main things you want to focus on when starting a skin care routine is to:
-cleanse
-tone
-treat
-hydrate
-moisturize (which could connect with hydrate if dryness is not a skin concern for you.)
This would translate to using a cleanser, toner water/spray, face serum, face oil (good for both oil prone and dry skin) and a moisturizer to lock everything in.
You also want to use a face mask 2-3 times a week(depending on that particular mask) and exfoliate the same amount to remove dead skin and bring brightness and life back into your face.
Here are some of my favorites:
1.) Cleansers:

Before I use any cleaner, especially if i have a full face of make-up on, I always use a cleansing make-up wipe or make-up remover. I love Korres products because they contain a lot of natural ingredients, smell amazing and actually work!

If you have read any of my pasts post, you know that I LOVE roses! Both of these toners contain rose oil and smell equally amazing.

Farmacy Honeydew Glow (AHA resurfacing night serum) $58
This 3-in-1 night serum resurfaces, hydrates, and clarifies dull skin over night. A blend of AHA fruit acids work to exfoliate dead skin cells, promote cell renewal and help hyper-pigmentation while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin will feel so smooth by morning!
Simple Beauty Fine Line Eye Serum $49
Always make sure to use an eye serum around your eyes; especially to prevent aging. The skin around and on your eyes are very thin so make sure you use your ring finger (it uses the least amount of pressure) to apply your eye creams.
This eye serum works to nourish, renew and maintain the health and luminescence of your eye.
It also boosts hydration, works to diminish fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles.
Its concentrated blend of ingredients are so effective, you only need a little bit for each application.
4.) Hydrate: Face oils-
Did you know that you should use oil on your face , even if you have oily skin? It allows your skin to maintain hydration and keeps it healthy. You just have to search for the right oil for your skin type. I like to search for my skin care on Sephora.com, that way I can narrow down exactly what type of products i need for my skin type and concern.
This Go-To Face Hero Oil is a steal at $34 and a little bit goes along way. I use about 3 drops each morning on my face and neck. This lightweight face oil deeply hydrates, soothes and protects skin. Containing 10 potent botanical oils, it also brightens, protects against fine line and wrinkles, dark spots and dryness.
Korres Black Pine 3-D Sculpting & Firming Sleeping Oil: $68
This night oil literally feels like silk on my face! This overnight oil visibly firms your skin, promotes elasticity, while replenishing moisture back into your skin allowing it be nourished and soft. This is like a spa treatment in a bottle and smells so beautiful! The natural lipid replenishers and black pine work to plump skin and improve overall facial architecture. 5.) Moisturize!
I see Korres is a on going theme with my skin care, but i love it and it is clean at Sephora (meaning it doesn't contain any of the harsh or bad chemicals that come in most skin care and make-up items).
